Westward Leaning was founded to be a different kind of sunglasses company. The goal was to create glasses that are greater than the sum of their parts and we want to do our part to be as ethical, sustainable, fair and socially-conscious as possible in every decision we make.
We have always drawn inspiration from the many beautiful materials used in our signature side inlays. In our first collection, the brass added to the Louisiana Purchase style was inspired by our love of Jazz and proceeds supported the Jazz Association of America. Our Teddy Roosevelt frame featured antler, naturally-shed and gathered by the Boy Scouts of America, with proceeds giving back to the National Parks. While our assortment and collection of materials has grown, our charitable commitment has always been central to the Westward Leaning brand. We are proud to sponsor organizations that are a force for good in our world.
