THE ACHIEVEMENT

The first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California wasn't always a politician: in fact, before Harvey Milk won a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, he owned and operated a camera shop, located at 575 Castro Street in the heart of the city's gay neighborhood. This model celebrates the life of Harvey Milk and honors all LGBT Americans who carry on the struggle for dignity and equality.

THE MATERIAL

This model features beads that run down the full length of each stem. The beads are hand sewn into the frame with a needle and thread. The beaded pattern is different on each side: the left side has a blue-green spectrum, while the right side has a red-orange spectrum. The rainbow colors are a tribute to the rainbow flag, a symbol of gay pride since the 1970s.

This model is available exclusively in shiny finish.

CHARITABLE COMPONENT

For every pair of sunglasses sold, we donate $10 to gay rights organizations working to ensure K-12 schools are a safe and supportive environment for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
